I feel like I’m in school again lol. It is currently snowing here in NJ so we have paid leave from coming into work, 90 minute mandatory delay. It’s barely snowing but I ain’t complaining about some free vacation time on a Friday!

Like I bet you could drive with summer tires in this.

I've never had winter tires and live in nh. All seasons on my golf are okay but I think they're a bit too wide for winter. The all seasons on my Volvo and Saab were more than adequate with how heavy those were

What part of Jersey are you in? I am in South Jersey, and I have to say for me at least the drive in to work this morning sucked until I got close to Philadelphia. The snow was really sticking and the plows weren't out. The roads were quite slick, and this is with winter tires. I thought from a driving standpoint this one was worse than the one a couple weeks ago that dumped 2 feet in areas.

Depends on how it’s treated. Barely dusted streets are often way more treacherous than a couple inches of accumulation.

Also, delayed openings blow...I always ignore them. There's never a commiserate drop in required work output and I'd rather come in at the normal time than stay late.

Well the guys at the gate won't let me in. So I would be sitting out front waiting to get in. Much rather be chilling at home than that haha. Snow is still falling, should be interesting in an hour from now!

I'm in Lakewood, so central Jersey. It's definitely coming down more than when I woke up. I've got snow tires anyways so it shouldn't be too much of a worry either way. Definitely means most people won't show up at all but I'm still new so I don't have a ton of leave sitting around to waste.

Heh, I always just tell gate guards I’m ‘essential personnel’. I’ve been able to get onto a number of facilities/bases/plants that were ‘closed’ for weather/construction/exercises/power outages/whatever with that one easy trick .

Sounds like a great way to end up getting water boarded in Guantanamo for me haha. At least the snow got worse by waiting, just made it into work with the top down!

Yeah, definitely depends on the car. My old civic was pretty stable on all seasons in the snow. But My Miata on all seasons does not like rain or anything too cold. Snow, not even once! The snow tires though just make everything more fun. I have a short commute so a little bit of snow makes me giddy instead of scared of a hellish commute.
